Mūton Tsuchiya (土屋 夢屯 (つちや むうとん), Tsuchiya Mūton) is the driver of Leopon Team and one of the supporting protagonists of Girls und Panzer.
Profile[]
Tsuchiya is a second year student from Ōarai Girls Academy. She is a member of the Automotive Club, as well as the driver for Leopon Team's Tiger (P).
Personality[]
Same as other members of Automotive club she is of course interested about cars and its mechanics and is technically proficient, what's is useful for Oarai's Sensha-do, because she can together with another members of automotive club repair, and in limits of Sensha-do rules improve tanks. She also seem to be extroverted in friendly way.
Appearance[]
Tsuchiya is a girl with short reddish-brown hair, dark eyes and freckles. She is seen to wear Oarai uniform or same as another members of Automotive Club white tank top, dark full shoes, white gloves and orange work overalls with blue colour on fringe of three pockets with are placed on left breast and on thighs.
Etymology[]
- The name Mūton means "dream, vision" (夢) (mū) and "police station, cantonment, camp, barrack/barracks" (屯) (ton).
- Mūton's surname Tsuchiya means "soil, earth" (土) (tsuchi) and "roof, house, shop, dealer, seller" (屋) (ya).
Trivia[]
- Mūton's favorite flowers are plum blossoms, and her favorite tank is the Japanese Type 10 main battle tank.
- Mūton is named after French former rally driver Michèle Mouton, who raced in the WRC, and "Drift King" Keiichi Tsuchiya.
- Like her namesake, Mūton enjoys drifting, and is exceptionally skilled at it in her team's Porsche Tiger.
- Mūton's birthday, March 25th, is the anniversary of several events:
- In 1941, the Kingdom of Yugoslavia signed the Tripartite Pact with the Axis Powers.
- In 1945, the Battle of Remagen ended on this day when American forces captured the Ludendorff Bridge over the Rhine intact.
- Mūton's seiyuu, Eri Kitamura, also voices the following characters:
- Darjeeling, commanding officer of St. Gloriana Girls' Academy's sensha-do team.
- Taiga Ou, a member of Ooarai Girls' Academy's broadcasting club.
