==Plot==
===Ooarai vs. BC - second round===

The episode starts from where [[Girls und Panzer das Finale: Part 1|episode one]] left off, with the [[BC Freedom High School|BC team]] marching in formation on the battlefield. Commander [[Marie]] discusses strategy with her two vice-commanders [[Rena Andou|Andou]] of the Examination faction and [[Ruka Oshida|Oshida]] of the Escalator faction. The latter two exchange compliments and apologize for the insults they gave to one another in the past. The talk is put to an end when Ooarai tanks hidden in the forest open fire on them. BC Freedom suspect Ooarai of trying to provoke them and lure them into a trap, so they disengage and withdraw into a bocage, an area of mixed woodland and pasture.

Meanwhile, the Ooarai team regroups to discuss on how best to proceed. [[Yukari Akiyama|Yukari]] theorizes that, despite the fact that the BC team's quarrels were just a farce to deceive them, outside of the sensha-dō team the Escalator and Examination factions still harbor animosity. The unity displayed so far may be limited solely to shared interest of beating Ooarai. [[Saori Takebe|Saori]] notes that the [[Char B1 bis|Char B1]] of [[Mallard Team]] looks very similar to the [[SOMUA S35]]. With this in mind, a plan is formulated to deceive their adversaries.

The BC Freedom deploys to key points around the bocage, while Marie leaves her team to it and enjoys a picnic with her crew in a safe location. Andou spots Ooarai team approaching from one of the main roads, expressing surprise at their apparently simplistic approach. [[Leopon Team]], [[Rabbit Team]] and [[Shark Team]] exchange fire with BC's tanks. Unbeknownst to the BC students, this is just a smoke and mirror tactic. Ooarai shoots passages into the hedge rows to create alternate passages with which to flank around undetected. BC Freedom's tanks are carefully scouted out, and from that, [[Miho Nishizumi|Miho]] deduces the likely location of the enemy flag tank

Mallard Team sneak deep behind enemy lines. With their turret repainted with the colours of BC Freedom and the high bushes concealing the rest of their vehicle, they begin taking non-lethal pot shots the [[ARL 44]] tanks from behind. The Escalator students fall for the ruse, and conflict erupts between the two factions of the French school. Two SOMUA and two ARL 44 are knocked out, with any thought of fighting Ooarai completely forgotten.

It takes some time before Marie realises that the sounds of combat in the background is actually friendly fire. Leaping into her [[FT-17]], she rushes to literally put the tank between the two factions to prevent them from wiping each other out. Mallard Team takes another shot, but Marie is now able to have Oshida count the Examination tanks that are have been knocked out and remain, uncovering the ruse. The remnants of the BC team chase down Mallard Team and knock it out shortly after. Both Andou and Oshida apologize to each other for the misunderstanding.

At this point, the severely depleted BC force is completely surrounded, hemmed in by the bocage that should have been their fortress. Multiple breakout attempts are blocked by Ooarai's tanks, and Marie's escorts are knocked out one by one. Although Rabbit Team, [[Duck Team]] and [[Anteater Team]] are lost in the fighting, at this point Marie knows that her only hope is to land a hit on Ooarai's [[Hetzer]] flag tank. She latches onto the tail of the Hetzer, but succeeds only in running into an encirclement of [[Anglerfish Team]], Leopon Team and Shark Team. With the match but a single shot away from its conclusion, Marie only has the time to eat a forkful of one her sweets in her usual calm and dignified attitude before being knocked out.

===Aftermath===
Shortly after the end of the match Andou and Oshida apologize to [[Azumi]] for losing the match despite the fact that BC Freedom High School was among the top four schools when the latter was attending. Azumi encourages the two girls, saying that if they keep working together and trusting in each other they will become many times stronger than they are now. Oshida wonders aloud at Marie's absence; the commander is busy offering a banquet full of sweets to the Ooarai students. Miho thanks Marie for the fun match, the latter replying it was as fun as the “beginning of a revolution" and promising next time her school will be “offering a revolution" to Miho.

===A break before the next battle===

There is still some free time to burn before the Ooarai school ship departs. Mallard team is on attendance duty. Anteater Team plays videogames. Shark Team goes fishing whilst the Rabbit Team observe critically. Turtle Team visit a Zaza Coffee. Leopon team checks out a car on sale. Anglerfish Team go out for crepes, with the exception of Miho, who has gone to the [https://gup.fandom.com/wiki/Boko#Boko_Museum Boko Museum] with [[Alice Shimada|Alice]]. After enjoying several themed rides, at dinner together Miho asks Alice if she has already chosen a school. Alice hasn't picked one yet, though she expresses her desire for a re-match with Miho when she does.

In the meantime, Duck Team meet [[Fukuda]] of the [[Chi-Ha-Tan Academy]] in a diner for tarashi-yaki. Fukuda congratulates them on their victory in the first match and asks if they have any advice for Chi-Ha-Tan Academy's upcoming first round match against [[Koala Forest High School]]. The Duck Team decide that such a difficult question is best answered on a full stomach, and they talk about the preparation of the tarashi-yaki instead. Regardless, Fukuda hears the conversation as nothing but metaphors on how to do better in [[Sensha-dō]].

===Chi-Ha Tan vs. Koala Forest===

Soon afterwards, Chi-Ha-Tan enter battle with Koala Forest. Inside an AC Sentinel Koala's vice commander, [[Wallaby]], listens to her commander, who is an actual koala. The commander advises them of Chi-Ha-Tan's immemorial frontal charging strategy, and suggests that Koala Forest find an advantageous place from which to ambush them. With Koala Forest's tanks thus deployed, they soon spot Chi-Ha-Tan tanks charging towards them. As the Chi-Ha-Tan tanks disappear in a shallow dip, the Koala Forest gunners prepare a salvo for when they crest the ridge. No targets reappear, however, leaving the Koala Forest students with nothing but a suspicious silence.

===Momo's family===

Back on the Ooarai school ship Saori accompanies Momo to a copy shop for some work for the student council. Inside the shop they are welcomed by a middle-aged man who tells Momo where to find the stuff they need. Shortly after a woman, apparently in a state of ill health, approaches and welcomes the two girls, with Momo addressing her as "mom", followed by five kids of various ages greeting Momo with joy. It is only at that point that Saori realizes they are Momo's family, having never met them before now. Saori spends some time with Momo and her family. She observes Momo's care towards her younger siblings and notes that her family is not a wealthy one. [[Hana Isuzu|Hana]], [[Mako Reizei|Mako]], Yukari and Saori later talk about Momo's situation regarding her family and comment that she'll have difficulties attending a university under those circumstances.

The Ooarai students soon learn that Chi-Ha-Tan Academy will be their next opponents, having defeated Koala Forest High School. Yukari praises the Chi-Ha-Tan girls for managing to pass the first round after a long time of defeats while Momo stated it will be an easy win since all they can do is charge. Miho however suggests not to underestimate Chi-Ha-Tan Academy as they did with BC Freedom; Momo agrees with Miho and apologizes for her overconfidence. Yukari wonders aloud how the rest of the tournament is proceeding.

===The other school's matches===

On a distant battlefield, [[Kuromorimine Girls Academy]], now commanded by [[Erika Itsumi|Erika]], overruns [[Maginot Girls' Academy|Maginot Academy's]] fortified position. In a snow landscape filled with tree pines [[Pravda Girls High School]] conduct a radio-silent ambush on [[Viking Fisheries High School]], swiftly knocking out their flag tank. On a rocky desert terrain, a the last [[Panzer II|Pz. IIs]] of the [[Blue Division High School]] retreat through the wrecks of their immobilized teammates. [[Saunders University High School|Saunders']] [[M4 Sherman|Shermans]] are hot on their tail, but it is [[Naomi|Naomi's]] Firefly which snipes the Blue Division flag tank at extreme range.

On a road leading to a bridge, [[Waffle Academy]] fend off a charge from a [[St. Gloriana Girls College|St. Gloriana]] [[Crusader]], but lose their [[AMC-35|flag tank]] immediately after to a shot from [[Darjeeling|Darjeeling's]] [[Churchill]]. Out in a sandy desert terrain a handful of [[Yogurt Academy]]'s [[Panzer 38(t)|Pz. 38(t)s]] charge head-to-head against [[Jatkosota High School|Jatkosota's]] [[BT-42]], which manages to bypass all its adversaries and knock out Yogurt's flag tank from behind. In an urban area [[Bonple High School|Bonple]]'s [[FT-17|flag tank]] is swarmed by [[Anzio Girls High School|Anzio's]] [[Carro Veloce CV.33|CV. 33 tankettes]], holding it in place until [[Anchovy|Anchovy's]] [[Carro Armato P40|P40]] drives up into point-blank-range and finishes the job.

===Ooarai vs. Chi-Ha Tan===

The match between Ooarai and Chi-Ha Tan is about to begin, with the crowds filling the stands and Miho and [[Kinuyo Nishi|Nishi]] greeting and wishing each other a good match to each other before starting the battle. The terrain is a dense tropical forest, making the movements hard for Ooarai. Miho agrees with Momo's proposal to going up a hill and taking a defensive position against Chi-Ha-Tan's charges, but the latter harass them with hit-and-run tactics, managing to knock out Shark Team in process. Ooarai, surprised frustrated by the unexpected strategy, decide to give up on the hill and take a stand at the shores of a lake.

However, Chi-Ha Tan surprise Ooarai once more when a couple of amphibious [[Type 2 Ka-Mi]] open fire from the lake at their back, forcing Ooarai to split their fire on two fronts and thus allowing the Chi-Ha-Tan main force to get within range of Ooarai's flag tank. The sacrifice of Leopon Team and Mallard Team keep the flag tank alive, although [[Hamada]] is taken out in return. Chi-Ha-Tan withdraw back into the jungle, with Ooarai in pursuit. Eventually, Ooarai manage to lure the entire Chi-Ha-Tan team into a deep and muddy trench. Ooarai tanks fire down from the high ground, with the Chi-Ha-Tan tanks struggling to advance up the steep walls.

Nishi surprises everyone in their team when she orders to retreat, claiming that they need to change their way of fighting and that a battle is about seizing opportunities and buying time. Taking advantage of their tanks' speed, Chi-Ha Tan escape up the unengaged side of the trench, getting out just before Ooarai can complete an encirclement. The episode ends with the match between Ooarai and Chi-Ha-Tan still unfinished.

*The bocage maze is a reference to the Normandy Bocage where German defenders effectively fought Allied forces due to the thickness of vegetation.
