The battle between Blue Division High School (bracket number 3) and Saunders University High School (bracket number 4) was the third match of the first round of 41st Winter Continuous Track Cup Sensha-dō Tournament. The match grounds consisted of a rocky desert. The match resulted in a victory of Saunders, allowing the school to move on to the quarter-finals.

Battle

After losing a Panzer IVH, a StuG IIIG, two Panzer IBs, two CV.35s and their Verdeja II, they was left with two Panzer IIs, one of them being the flag tank. The Andalusia's Panzer II was destroyed by Kay during the escape attempt. El orders them to speed up and take them behind the hills ahead. Then the Panzer II sprints away only to be hit by Naomi's Firefly from afar.

Aftermath

It was already kind of obvious that Saunders would win the match, mainly due to Blue Division's strategy of attempted breakthroughs. In addition to El's reckless attempt to advance into the mountains. Even if the Panzer II managed to accomplish this objective, it would still have to face a large army of Shermans. Saunders will face Jatkosota High School in the quarter-finals.

Trivia

• The fact that the Spanish and American-themed schools fought each other may be a reference to the Spanish-American War, whose American victory marked the end of Spanish colonialism in the Americas and the Pacific, and the decline of the Spanish Empire.
• The desert terrain of the match is likely a reference to the rocky American deserts. Which would give a clue to Saunders' victory.
• This match is the first in series where Saunders' flag tank is commanded by Kay rather than Alisa.
  • It may not be intentional, but the only match in which Kay's tank was used as a flag tank was also the only one in which Saunders won.
• While Blue Division's Panzer II were Ausf.B models in Gekkan Senshado Magazine, they were changed into Ausf.F in Das Finale, probably for recycling 3D models.
