Alina is a supporting character in Girls und Panzer, Girls und Panzer der Film, Motto Love Love Sakusen Desu!, and Girls und Panzer: Ribbon Warrior.
Profile[]
Alina is one of the loaders of the KV-2 tank alongside Nina. She is also the Vice-Commander of Katyusha's Volunteer Army, the Tankathalon branch of Pravda, where she commands a T-70.
Appearance[]
Alina is a rather short girl with short brown hair and brown eyes. She wears a standard Pravda uniform.
Personality[]
It would appear that of her tank's crew, she is the one most inclined to take the initiative, given her suggestion, in Der Film, that they should sacrifice themselves to fight a rearguard action.
Background[]
Pravda vs. Oarai[]
Alina is not seen in the anime, but rather the OVA. While Nina was clearing the outside of the tank of snow, Alina was inside the tank on standby. As such, she was not immediately present when Yukari Akiyama and Erwin posed as Pravda students and tricked Nina into revealing Pravda's plans. As the Oarai students left, she popped out of the tank and asked Nina who the people leaving were, with Nina responding that they were their seniors on the team.
Der Film[]
In Der Film, it is Alina who suggests that they use their KV-2 to block the road against the All-Stars University Team's tanks in order to allow the rest of Sunflower Team —in particular Katyusha— to withdraw. During this last-stand rearguard action, she is seen operating her gun along with the rest of her team.
Katyusha's Volunteer Army[]

During the Ribbon Warrior Arc, Alina was appointed as the commander of Katyusha's Volunteer Army alongside Nina. During this appointment, she was told by Katyusha that if she failed to win, she would be "deported to Siberia until her graduation." Her first battle was against Bonple High School, commanded by Jajka. In their first face-to-face encounter with Jajka, Alina and Nina were terrified of the enemy commander's imposing demeanor. After Jajka called Katyusha a child, the latter ordered the KVA to "totally murder and massacre them."
Unbeknownst to the spectators, as well as to Bonple High School, the KVA had not just one platoon of 16 T-70 tanks, but two platoons, for a total of 32 T-70 tanks. Sixteen tanks were led by Nina in a direct advance against Jajka's forces while the remaining sixteen were led by Alina in a flanking maneuver to envelop the enemy. They were able to complete their operation and annihilate many of the Bonple tanks caught in the double envelopment, but they were unable to detect and prevent six Bonple tanks from sneaking through the envelopment and launching a successful decapitation strike against Nina's flag tank. As such, despite following Katyusha's doctrine, Nina and Alina's first Tankathalon match resulted in a loss.
Trivia[]
- There are two loaders for the KV-2 as the projectile and propellant for the shells are stored separately. It takes an immense amount of strength and time simply to reload the tank's M-10 152mm gun, therefore the addition of an extra loader.
- Together with Nina, Alina speaks in an Akita dialect. This makes her dialogue somewhat difficult for many Japanese audiences to understand. (The English dub does not feature this, given the uniqueness of the dialect to Japanese.)
- Alina’s Japanese voice actress, Kanami Satou, is from Iwate Prefecture near the northern end of the main Japanese island of Honshu. Iwate Prefecture neighbors Aomori Prefecture, Pravda’s place of origin.
- Alina's English voice actress also voices Oarai Girls' Academy student Mai Nekota.
